If you're going to dissect the Fujifilm range on a future episode, could you also include the lens range for X mount. While the company has made strides with the cameras, it feels as though the lens range is a little tired, particularly when you consider the introduction of the 40MP sensor. Hoping for fast telephoto primes is a bit of a longshot given likely demand and R&D budgets, but a decent set of zooms shouldn't be too much to ask. There's no equivalent of a 16-35mm F2.8 (the 10-24mm is F4 and not the best optically), while a properly sharp replacement for the 16-80mm would be a real winner. Given the advances in lens design from the big three and Sigma, Fujifilm seems to be falling behind the sompetition here.

The pricing of this camera is absolutely insane. In Europe, the cost for a full-frame Canon R8 + RF 24-50 is approximately 1500-1600 Euros, while the advertised price for a crop sensor Fujifilm X-T50 + 16-50 mm is around 1900 - 2000 Euros. Does anyone know what they smoke? The price of X-T50 (at least in Europe) is comparable with Sony 6700 with much more versatile 18-135 kit. Not to mention Sony is miles ahead in terms of autofocus, and the battery life is much better too... Probably, guys in Fujifilm forgot, that Europe is rapidly becoming a poor region, so they could only dream of good sales of their overpriced products here.

The listing of fuji cameras seems misleading, given that the X-E4 was definitely discontinued.

I've always wanted to get an X-T30, but after watching this video, I'm now convinced that I should instead be saving up for an X-S20.

Panasonic has the best menu system, you can get by with all of them but sony is really bad usually.

The GF 500mm F5.6 is the equivalent of 395mm F4.4 If they want to crate the equivalent of F2.8 they should make a 500mm F3.5. Then, they can make the 800mm F5.6. IF they really want to aim for the wild life niche. In my opinion this is not enough. If there is neither a line-up, nor a Roadmap for these lenses, why would a wild life photographer even consider investing in this? Who will buy the 500mm? The owners of GFX who don't even do wildlife?

Not sure if it’s just me, the UA-cam compression, the f16 or really the lens, but the portrait with the 500mm looks really soft to me, which would be surprising, considering how ridiculously sharp telephoto primes usually are.

Hmm, in real life a pro photographers uses ten year old lenses and five year old bodies and makes a great living. Former pro photographers who figured out they can make more money schilling product on UA-cam pretend you can't do better than a 1970's Polaroid without the latest body and lenses. Good Lord, people. And before they had UA-cam as a vehicle they used older lenses and bodies and often still do but can't tell anyone because that would undermine their sales pitch.

What was the continuous capture limit on 3rd party? OMG don't gloss over this stuff that can be HUGE! That's operational that can't be fixed or changed in post and is what is actually important! No one actually cares that not that it's slightly less sharp in the corners at 2.8 or at whatever range and if they do, the really don't know what they are doing. If it can be fixed in post, then it doesn't matter.

As someone who just put in a preorder, let me share my perspective of why this is EXACTLY what I was hoping for. Currently, I use the X-E4 which I bought it when it came out in 2021. It was my first Fuji camera, and as a hobbyist photographer, the size was super important. I wanted something I could bring me with me at all times. I got the 27mm pancake lens, and it's a perfect everyday carry. Then I have a handful of others for specific situations. So why did I upgrade? First, the newest 40mp X Trans sensor. Second, IBIS. Third, pop-up flash. Fourth, I don't shoot video-so I'm happy with a photo-first approach. Do I think I'll use the film-sim dial? Probably not very often. I have a couple of recipes I like, and I'll probably stick with those. This is a beautiful camera. And it's a big bump over the X-E4. I would never even consider an X-T5 for size alone. As a hobbiest, I couldn't be happier!

Removing the iso dial for a gimick one is the worst decision ever, fuji ninjas are drunk

Thing you mentioned and I also shoot panasonic. In fact, it really cracks me up that you never, ever give it anything T your sponsor beyond the 30 seconds at the beginning of the show. You never bring them up. You never recommend them. You never mention them it's hysterical. It tells me that no one at O. M systems watches your podcast, so I guess you know they deserve it in some way

This seems like a cool camera, but at that price, I'd rather just buy a X-T5... I already got the X-S20 for my video needs, so this is whatever for video work.

Don't get me wrong, making an affordable Medium Format camera with features people want is a good thing. But its still hard to justify it vs Full Frame cameras. Nobody but the pixel peeper will notice a difference, and the FF cameras are much more versatile for more use senarios.

Would love to know what the non-fast version of the IMX461 in the gfx100s is called. Sony have only ever listed (since 2016) the version that allows drop to 12 bit for 10 fps readout. Likewise black point clipping and pull 80 has always been possible in post and they're now just doing it in camera and for some reason claiming it's due to a new sensor?
